A Personal Message from Doug Robertson

11.4.2019

On November 3, 2019, Doug Robertson, Vice President at York, ran in the New York City Marathon for a very special and personal reason. In his own words, Doug shares his motivations and his gratitude:

This past weekend I ran in the New York City Marathon to raise money for colorectal cancer research in memory of my father, who passed away from the disease two years ago.

Through amazing support, I was able to raise over $10,000 for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance while completing the marathon, which was a surreal experience. The amount of love, support and encouragement I received from family and friends, as well as complete strangers, is indescribable.

Colon cancer is very preventable with the necessary screenings. However, once diagnosed, it is extremely difficult to overcome, as it has the second highest-mortality rate of all cancers. If you would like to donate to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, please click the link below. All contributions go to research and awareness campaigns to fight against this terrible disease. Thank you!
